Behind the mist.
So, what's your favorite era? don't talk about 'Dark Side of the Moon' or 'Wish You Were Here' because most people think that these are the band's only albums! They are genius, but I've grown sick of them. Because of this, I have recently discovered the band's pre-Dark Side material and I have to say that it is fucking awesome. Barrett was a very unique composer and I think it's a shame that he lost control and got kicked out of the band. Even the albums after 'Wish You Were Here' are great. Still, once Waters left, it was pretty much over.

Discuss this highly interesting band...

great choices, my friend. my favorites as well!

The famous five... it's too bad that this exact lineup didn't get to put out an album*. Barrett's compositions with Gilmour's stuff would sound CRAZY

*wait, i just remembered that the album is "A Saucerful of Secrets"!

Saucerful of Secrets and Meddle are Amazing. I dont listen to floyd as much as I used to, but I find myself going back to those early albums when Im in the mood nowdays.

Animals all the way. Too bad I've overplayed and now I get nothing out of it.
Atom Heart Mother's first track is amazing as well. A lesson in EPIC.
