I am looking for an engl 2x12 pro slanted or an harley benton 2x12

what do you suggest me?

Have not played through either. But I can tell you that when I was hunting for a solid can to play through a Harley Benton was on the top of my list.

I read that the Benton 212 is pretty much the same as the Framus 212 which I had before my Zilla. Was compact and sounded great with my Jet City Head but when I swapped over to a Mesa Dual Rec is was shrill and a bit nasal with little bass.
Just my 2 pence worth.

Harley benton vintage cab is cheaper than buying 2 vintage 30s so grab one, you can put them in an X pattern in your 4x12, a few guys on here like that setup

I have a HB 212 v30 and the 4x12 version of the Engl Pro...and I love them both. I really think the Harley Benton is an amazing deal. If you are tight on money, just get one of those. You can always save up for a cross-speaker cab at a later point, when you are more sure about what it is you are going for. Until then, the benton will hold you up just fine (also for recorded tones).

yep
I am also thinking about puttin 2 v30 on may marshall 4x12 cab with g12t75

what about this?

I' think that would be a better idea. I've done it with my Engl cab, I swapped two V60's with Vintage 30's in an x pattern. Sounds great.
Moreover, a Vint 30 in a 2x12 won't sound like a Vint 30 in a 4x12...

Mesa cabs are seriously overrated. I see much more Marshall cabs in professional studios than Mesa cabs.

on a small venue what config do you prefered?

guitar>sd1>eng fireball 60w>marshall cab 1960
guitar>sd1>jcm900l>marshall cab 1960
guitar>sd1>engl fireball 60w>Engl 2x12 v30 slanted cab
guitar>sd1>engl fireball 60w>marshall cab 1960 with X config celestion speaker (v30 g12t75)

My vote goes for the 1960 with four V30s in it. That or the Orange cabinets. The 2x12 Orange is cool also if you're on a budget.

That may be true where you are but it isn't true here.

That'll be the transatlantic divide kicking in ;)

FWIW Carlocki, don't feel you need to get a Mesa Boogie cab coz someone on here says to. Experiment some and find YOUR sound, not someone elses. Harley Benton cabs are reasonably well made and the speakers on their own would be more expensive. So you can always pull them out and sell two of them, and buy another two. Just experiment.
