playlist?

seeing that Enchant will play at this year's NearFest, are there any particular songs you would like to see them play? i know there are so many songs to choose from aside from the fact that a new album is expected to be released in may before they play NearFest, but which ones top your wishlist, a curious mind would like to know, as for me, i'm going to have to think on this one for sometime...

Some songs on the my wishlist would have to be....

Thirst, Acquaintance, Nighttime Sky from ABotW
Below 0, Distractions (which was great at Filamore in 97) - W
Under the Sun, Interact or Vasoline , I mean Blindsided - TL
My Enemy, Surrounded, Gavel Hand, Cross - Break
Paint, What to Say, Elyse, Broken Waves, Traces - J9oD10

and course a few fav from the new one and suprise us with a Xen song!!! 0]

All Enchant songs are awesome, so I wouldn't be disappointed with any songs on a setlist. If I would choose a least fav song it would have to be the Lizard. :evil:

i agree with you! the thirst, acquaintance & nightime sky are my favorites songs off of ABOTW but so is open eyes! with respect to wounded, below zero and especially distractions(!) are also my favorite songs off that album, still another one that needs inclusion in the playlist is fade 2 grey! i also agree with you with the Time Lost... songs under the sun & interact, blindsided is a great song but i can still do without, don't know what to say about Break, still unsure about J9orD10, there are too many great songs on that album! :rollin:

This is very good info for us guys! Javier is reading our minds with this one! Although we will most likely be posting something along these lines soon!

Hopefully more people will submit their input? Remember that opening for a bigger act you usually get about a half hour to 45 minutes? Headlining or Equal time can be about an hour and 1/2 or more depending on the crowd etc?

There is quite a bit of material after five discs! It is hard for us to decide which ones are best sometimes?

Our set lists have really varied over the years and we often wonder which would be the all time favorites or most requested pieces?

Can we vote too?

Even though it is doubtful that I will be able to witness your live show, unless you come to the midwest (Michigan), I would like to put in my 2 cents worth.

It is nearly an impossible task to pare the list down to an hours worth of songs, but here goes.

Sorry Len, no offense to your taste, but I really hate when bands do a cover to end the show. There is sooooo much great Enchant material, so why waste precious time on something that we have heard a thousand times. Maybe if they did an obsure original cover in the middle of the set, it would be ok. I strongly feel that a band should either play all original material (unless you have one disc' worth of material), or play all covers (thus a cover band). When Dream Theater did a full night of covers, I thought that was cool, but it was a one-off night. Considering that few fans have ever heard Enchant live, I want to hear as many Enchant songs as possible. My choice for last song would be Paint the Picture. It is incredibly powerful, kind of a trademark Enchant song. And the feedback ending works perfectly to close out the show.

Can't argue with your suggestion...there are far too many tunes to pick only 1 hour's worth- it was just off the top of my head and my list of favorites changes by the day...here is a question for everyone:

Javier Gomez was kind enough to send me some records I had not heard but one of the discs was a bunch of Dream Theater tunes which I assume is from one of their Xmas cd's- but the last 3-4 songs were definitely ENCHANT- one was a cover of some YES tunes (Changes) from the tribute album I think-- but a few were unknown to me. Where did these tunes come from? I have all the studio albums- are there are one-off songs or contributions made to other albums? They are good tunes and I'd love to hear where they came from (sounds like the BREAK era to me)...the names of the tunes are escaping me right now...any help appreciated.

Len, it is possible that you recieved songs from the XEN cd. A side project of Paul Craddick. All of the members of Enchant perform on the cd. It was recorded between "Break" & "Juggling 10...."

They also did "Us & Them" on the Pink Floyd tribute cd. And also "Man Of Our Times" from the Genesis tribute cd.

If it isn't any of these then there is stuff that I don't have yet.

Thanks for restarting this thread. Why dont you have a fan poll on the front page? (Can you do it Mighty Webmaster?) Get suggestions on what songs the Enchant fans want to hear live, but obviously you guys get to choose.

My choices:
Blueprint - Acquaintance & Nighttime
Wounded - I'll go with Broken and Distractions
Lost - Blind Sided or Under the Sun & Standing Ground
Break - My Enemy & My Gavel Hand works (Love Surrounded as a short one w/ that awesome bridge and gtr solo)
