Ok so I recorded two covers this evening and was hoping to get some feedback from the board. Over the past few months I've started learning some acoustic songs and working on my singing voice. Before that, for years I pretty much only played death metal and growled.

Anyway, these aren't perfect by any means, as I completed each in about an hour. However, I'd still like some outside opinions on the production and singing, or anything at all really.

For those curious, both songs are originally by Bon Iver. I tried to stay as true as possible to the originals while still leaving room for differences/improvisations.
This is a very cheap nylon string acoustic guitar, and vocals only. Recorded in my home studio with an SM57 only. Interface = Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56. Used Neve and Telefunken emulations.

Thanks

Sounds good. I think the guitars can sound better given a different mic was used, a condensor or a few mics together.

On a side note, it's funny hearing you do this stuff man, knowing what your main musical project is :p You do it well though. Decent voice too man, any tuning? Regardless you have a good tone for the style.

 yeah this is quite a departure.

Yeah there is a bit of autotune on some of it. None on the high falsetto voices, though.

Thanks a lot for the comments
