Hey everyone! I play lead guitar and sing in a Canadian progressive metal band called Audassy. Last month, we uploaded a free 9-minute single to www.purevolume.com/Audassy. (Please give it a listen!) Anyways, here's the question..
We're going to release a complete CD this summer. Here are the approximate song lengths:
Track 1: 9.5 minutes
Track 2: 20 minutes
Track 3: 5 minutes
We were discussing the possibility of splitting the second song into 3 tracks, which would give a total of 5 tracks to the CD. Regardless, it looks like the total running time will be somewhere around 34 or 35 minutes.
Which of the two formats should we choose (3-track or 5-track), and should it be labeled an EP or a full album? Please give us your opinion. Thanks guys!
