Please help me out with this 80ies metalsound

i want to mix some 80's sounding metal and i hope i'm nearly finished with this stuff.

its working now and I can definitely hear what you mean. you're doing good so far man. is that all you, solo? I'm liking the stereo spread of the backups, but initially the guitars sound too sharp/polished to my ears for that 80s sound. That doesn't mean its bad, just that I'm used to a certain sounding guitar from the 80s. Dont forget to drench that snare in some big phat reverb as well... heck, man... throw reverb on the entire kit and you've got insta-80s.

haha, thanks mate! thats all me but the drums, thats ezdrummer. i hate my guitarsound no longer so much but its not that kind of sound i was looking for. its exactly what you wrote, its to transparent...

so what is your gear setup for jamming and recording?

its that old hughes&kettner metal master, thats all. a jackson sl1 and direct through the metal master into the interface. its a mackie onyx satellite. sequencer is cubase with plugins like ez drummer, waves r comp and eq and vintage warmer. delay from cubase vst and tc elektronic reverb plugin.
