When I compose my metal tunes they tend to always be in the same key, E minor/ GMajor. what other scales can i use to help me. They all tend to sound the same. please help

Every guitarist has whats called a "Pitch axis" that takes in ceartain chords in a ceartain order, You will find this in alot of My Dying Bride songs and other bands as well. Its a matter of mixing those up with creativity, Using different tempos, Playing triplets in the riff or riffs Playing in different octaves and what not. Your on the right path as long as your comfortable with how you play and how it sounds. Bride fans dont ever say "Good albums, but all the songs sound tthe same" So that in mind just keep at what your doing just add new roots to your chords or build them from your favorite modes or scales. Guys like Ricardo from moonspell are good at that like his work on Sin Pecado, Alot of arabian flavored chord progressions and solos, Brilliant fucking guitarist. Just mix it up and keep pumpin out those tunes
