Greetings everyone!

I've fallen out of the 'underground scene' recently, and need to catch up on any great, new (or new to me) bands that may have come onto the scence.

Can someone recommend any bands? I prefer 'clean' vocals, but still do enjoy death-vox such as those of My Dying Bride, Opeth, & Emperor.

My favs are:
Opeth
Anathema
My Dying Bride
Arcturus
Katatonia
Sentenced
In the Woods
the Gathering
Amorphis
Emperor
Lacuna Coil
Ulver

Thanks!

While not entirely new, a band you'd love judging by your taste would most certainly be the Danish band Saturnus.

They currently have three releases out in the vein of earlier My Dying Bride etc.

Paradise Belongs to You (1997)
For the Loveless Lonely Nights (ep) (1998)
Martyre (1999)

They're new album has been in the works for ages now.

You can download samples [Edit- they actually have whole songs on there in the discography section] at www.saturnus.dk

Basically they're romantic gothic/doom with a vocalist who ranges from deep slow growls to spoken word pieces.

One of my favourite bands.

ATROX-ATROX-ATROX

they are a great really experimental metal band from Norway!

they have female vocals and she is MONIKA EDVARDSEN
sister of ann marie from 3RD AND THE MORTAL

amazing group!:headbang:

Here's something what I found from my collections...

The 3rd and The Mortal

Beyond Dawn
Fields of the Nephilim
Limbonic Art
Madder Mortem

Tiamat

Try some of these brazilian bands...you can find all of them at Kazaa.

Green Carnation (if you don't already know them since it's the project of a former member of In The Woods). Check out their album "Light Of Day, Day Of Darkness", it's a one-track epic album, quite good, clean vocals only.
