Please recommend me a good FW400 to FW800 cable.

Since I switched from my old MacBook (with FW400) to an iMac (FW800) I have massive problems with my Apogee Duet interface.
No one can tell me what’s wrong with my gear (I talked to the Apogee and Thomann guys). ….so therefore I want to try different cables.

Once I plug in the Firewire cable it works probably 15 – 20 minutes totally fine before the Duet stops working.

For what it's worth I've use a fw400 to 800 adapter with my profire 2626 and sometimes my fw410 into my macbook pro and have had no issues whatsoever.

Although it seems like your problem is more to do with the Duet than the cable, maybe try this and see if it is any better.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.
I’ll try the adapter before I send the Duet to Thomann.
