Hello,

I recently joined another music forum that is overrun with hyper-sensitive social justice warriors, and I have been all but chased away with torches and pitchforks. But that's okay. It sucked there anyway.

Metal was my first love and I find myself returning to it in my late 30s, so here I am. Hopefully things will go better on this forum. I'm a huge fan of doom metal and my current favorite metal band is Pallbearer. I'm always looking for more great doom bands, but I'm open to anything. I don't CURRENTLY dig black metal just because of the vocals, but I could be persuaded to give it another shot.

Anyway, that's my story.

I've hung out at many forums, and edgy college kids seem to find their way everywhere. You know of reddit? The major subs are all about BERNIE SANDERS THE INCORRUPTABLE GOD AND THE EVIL TRUMP NAZI and shit like that. I just wanna get away from that shit so I came here to hang out with (hopefully) great metalheads. Love the music and the culture.

I fucking love that. I just joined up and I've already been called gay and cracked jokes about buttered up assholes. I'm the type of guy who never takes offense for any reason, so if the rest of this forum are like me then we should get along just fine.

Ah, I see your forum experience has already begun then . Seriously though, I fucking enjoy this. It's like pigs swallowing in mud and nobody gives a fuck, since everybody's dirty already anyway. I really like to vent every now and then by being blunt and not having to be politically correct and shit. UM is one of the few forums I know that's about something and where you can also pick a fight or talk shit and it's just business as usual, nobody gives a fuck, nobody seems to take it seriously and yet you can also find a fine conversation here.

You guys are making me feel plenty welcome. I feel like I can make the radical announcement that I don't believe transgender people really exist. I think that you are either male or female, and that your gender is decided by what's between your legs at birth. You can chop parts off and wear a dress and makeup, but you're still a dude. And I feel like I can say that if I ever see a dude in a dress enter a public ladies room while my wife or daughters are in there, I'm following him in and performing his transition surgery free of charge with a dull butter knife.

No doubt! I just got banned from a site that you can't use any bad words or disrespect anybody and all I was doing was talking about Bass guitar and pickups and this asshole jumps in from nowhere and starts disrespecting me and saying all this crap to me telling me I don't know what I'm talking about and everyone else is saying I'm right. So the moderators don't do a damb thing about it, so I told the guy if he disrespected me like that face to face in person I said I'd slap him so hard I'd knock him out, any time. So after 2 years I get banned. Man! if I saw that guy on the street I would smash my old Bass guitar in his face and put it on YouTube to see how many hits I got. YEAH!!!! I helped a lot of people on that site too, I had 800 likes and that's the thanks I get for defending myself. Now I'm not here to start anything, just don't disrespect me.
