+\- is a mathcore\metal\post-hardcore band from Kiev, Ukraine.
Five-pieces band was formed in 2005 and at first was named "Neirula".
Evenrually a solid lineup was formed with vocalist Egor, guitarist Yura, guitarist Ilya, bassist Maksim and drummer Tolik.
In early 2007 +\- recorded their first demo after that fest Tolik left +\- to pursue his career in blues\pop music. Later (in May) he was replaced by Slavik (Lito, False Effect). In such lineup the band appears on Red Alert (Evpatoria) and makes gigs in Poltava, Harkov, Lviv, Kyiv and Moscow.
On May, 7th, 2008 on label Moon Records comes debut release of group under the name "+ \-ЕР".

Hi guys! This night we started the counter counting time before start of a debut on a song «Animal». Exactly at 1 Am on 1st of November on www.myspace.com/thepmmusic will take place the premiere of debut video. Director of video became Vasily Prozorov. As the operator Evgenie Kerpatenko (JMAK Creative Agency) and Ilja Jatsjuta (Qvision Studios) has acted. Also we'll place two teasers before exit full video soon, so watch for news.

Hi guys!
So, the debut clip is online! Actually as a song about sins, have decided to remove and a clip on the same subjects. On a plot the young man forces down the girl and disappears from a scene of crime. Next day in the newspaper there is a publication about murdered girl. Here the hero also starts to panic and on road recollects all events. And musiciants in this case are something like its thoughts - chaotic and gloomy.
Soon, we’ll make another version of clip, which consists only from scene with musiciants, and we’ll post video (1-st and 2-nd versions available for download in high quality). Pleasant viewing =)

Hi guys! There is a lot of news, so the final review is as follow: we are very glad to tell you, that the contracts for release of our debut album have been signed up with Moon Records (Ukraine) and Delicious Music (Russia). It was a great pleasure for us to be back at the label, which helped us with our first release two years ago and label which has always been supporting the most interesting and intellectual groups of the CIS. In addition, we are still searching for a label for our release in Europe/USA.
A full-format album “Emerald Island” is expected to be released in the second half of this June. In a few weeks we will report exact date, when the album will be available in shops. And now there is a track list of the future album:

So, pre-review of debut album from french site Metalorgie.com:

Emerald Island, situated between Australia and Antarctica, discovered in 1821 then for ever lost, turns out to be the destination of +\-. Throughout a trip told through the words, the crossing of Moby Dick and Roméo and Juliette, the musicians try to put a sound more accomplished than them already very good EP. And, Emerald Island is airier than +\-EP : Indeed far from the torrent of blow without the slightest fresh breath of air, this first LP turns to a richer, less fervent sound.

So, when the Ukrainians detail their will to become soaked with a sound enter Converge, The Dillinger Escape Plan or Poison The Well, it makes no doubt that they made a success of their bet. Without speaking about revolution or revelation, Plus\Minus appropriates tones without making them commonplace, injecting it enough personality so that compos marks profoundly certain parts of the brain. We could widen the circle of the influences to Every Time I Die and Norma Jean, in particular by some riffs (Fog Lights), going as far as dashing into vocal parts almost heavy (Mayday! Mayday! Mutiny Aboard) without error of taste, or in the last song (Nimrod Glacier) with an ending that brings rest...

Even when the more typical clear singing invites itself in the party (Brighter Than You I Light Up The Stars), nothing lets augur of bad moment: the Rock 'n' roll atmosphere is very present, with a Hardcore Metal feeling which never falls in an impersonal music. The successions of plans never hinder the listening, while allowing certain pieces to shine: Fog Lights for its explosive intro, Phoenix VS. Owls and its hammered tune or still the groovy Harlots Have Been Drained With Milk. We find the devastating madness of + \-EP through the battery of Henry The Hexapus, or the whole rhythm section, keeping in suspense until the last one assists of Tiger Peacock ou Empire.

Plus\Minus progressed well in 2 years. In passing of massive Mathcore in a more melodic sound, the combo raises itself in the right lined by the American scene, without abandoning nevertheless its touch of madness. Emerald Island possesses all the cards in hand to make speak about him, stays in the readers only to dash...

We are glad to inform, guys, that we have signed the contract with label BRKENMIRRR Records (US)!
BRKENMIRRR Records is young metal, hardcore and punk DIY Indie Label, possessed in Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania) and attending to support of young bands from every corner of the globe.
There’s gonna be special edition of an album in autumn – combo Emerald Island and ЕР, with a bit changed a cover art and pleasant bonuses. Also we plan to make new merch and probably make vinyl pressing, so keep in touch!

Plus one more good news – have signed the contract with label Douchebag Records on the edition of our album in France.
Douchebag Records – a young label from Lille (France), based in March of a current year with three friends consolidated by one passion: music in a spectrum from the punk, hardcore to grindcore.
While we will begin with sales of the ukrainian edition, and further, more close by the end of the year, probably, there is a special French edition, by analogy with American.
