Bachelor of Audio Engineering from JMC Academy, Melbourne.

Biggest waste of my life apart from the entirety of high school. Felt like my life only began in the last few years when I actually started working and crafting my 'dream', so to speak. There is no room for pieces of paper in this industry, unless you're short of toilet rolls.

high school and career center school

got job placement from school into computer store, became main computer tech

got paid shit, quit going in to work

started recording on the side, and then after i quit i started recording more

Finished upper secondary school in 2007. Currently completing my civilian service (fucking conscription, 79 days left today, hooray!). After that I'm going to study, so I'm trying to get in to university now, but I'm applying to some other places too just in case.

Now there's the career story you want to hear

High school grad

some university, not even a year. Didn't drop out or anything, was just some extra elective courses that I got bored with. Only other training is my auditor training for ISO/TS 16949. Had to take classes for that.

Just kinda fell into my current job ... started as a summer job running a machine and then they had an opening in the quality department. I took the test and aced it so I've been in QA since

I'm finishing my math/computer science studies soon and I had a rather good job interview in institute of nuclear sciences. Requirement for a job is to be atleast a Ph.D student so if I decide to go that way than next stop is a Ph.D on Thermal engineering.

Yeah, I bragging. :)

Started university for computer science, loved the computer science courses but hated everything else and hated school in general so I dropped out. I was there on scholarship so I didn't lose any money at least, in fact the school actually reimbursed part of my tuition even though it was their money to begin with so I bought gear with it

Got a great job through a friend and now I'm 22, own my own house and a brand new car and make over $100k while only working about 30 weeks a year. Been very smart with my finances so far and am using this opportunity to get ahead so I can afford to take some chances doing the audio thing.

Honors Degree in Construction Economics and Management 2 years ago currently working as a Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager but things are desperately quite here in Ireland at the moment so i may have to move abroad when my current workload drys up

Little bit of university under my belt. Started a bachelor's of Journalism, but then I started taking the recording courses offered and realized that if I wasn't going to make any money and struggle to pay the bills, I may as well do so doing something I really love. Dropped out and went to recording school in San Francisco. Moved back to Vancouver and started working at the studios around town.
