Pop-Punk Mix Help

I'm working on a mix for a band but I'm having trouble with the balance of all the instruments and vocals. They keep wanting the guitars louder, but it seems to drown out the drums. Any kind of help would be appreciated!

Everything is too loud over the drums, you know? The vocals are WAY too up front. They need to sink back into the mix. Bring the vocals way back, bring the guitars back, and the drums will get louder. You just need to bring it all back over the drums really. Has a lot of potential.

Edit: Bring the guitars back with the vocals proportionally. So I would start by muting the vocals, bringing your guitars and bass back until you're happy with the drum level, then incorporate the vocals and bring them way down. Sorry if that was unclear at first.

Bring the vocals way back. The actual tone of your mix sounds pretty good, just needs fader adjustments. Reference some other pop punk mixes for appropriate fader settings.. The vocal level is over-powering anything and everything...

That is very helpful. I've been going back and forth with the band who keeps wanting the vocals and guitars more up-front. I will pull them all back though to clean it up. Thanks for the input!
