Has anyone else heard of this extremely cool death metal band from Australia?

Musically, they can be compared somewhat to Morpheus Descends, Demilich, and newer Gorguts, but they have a pretty unique sound.

Portal are fuckin awesome especially their live show w/ the cloaks hoods, nooses and shit.....their music can be very hypnotic at times....

Been listening to Seepia for the past couple of months, and it still blows me away. I've read reviews where it was described as "Morbid Angel meets Beherit" and that does give an interesting image...

I acquired this album in my local underground metal store awhile ago and I'm still blown away to how sick it sounds. It's technical and noisy as fuck and it falls together, not very neatly, but it does fall together perfectly.

It's not the easiest thing to listen to. It's fucking awesome, I love this album.

Just received my Seepia LP yesterday... magnificent. The artwork is brilliant, and the vinyl itself is fucken brown. I cant help but find that extremely cool. The whole atmosphere of antiquity realy comes through well on vinyl.

The Australian Portal was founded long before the Gay Swedish Glam band.
I wonder whose more worthy of the moniker?!
Fair enough if The Swedish band were actually a threat.
A simple name change would be in order, afterall its the music thats important.

They're alright. The musicianship was pretty good, but I found, in general, that they can be quite one-directional and not very varied. Still, they're pretty interesting, just not majorly groundbreaking.
