It's not the answer you're looking for, but Pollstar - www.pollstar.com - allows you to search live events in a particular city over a particular date range. It should give you what you're looking for...
You know I used that the other day, and got more pissed because I found out Arch Enemy and Nile play on Sat. Night (7/27), but I won't be there then!

Hey how did your trip to Portland turn out? I absolutely love that place! I am gonna take a trip to Mt. Hood in early September.
Every time I go, it doesn't rain. That's probably 'cause I've been there only a few times this year.
I tried out the Meow Meow in June, the place was packed for Poison the Well -- I needed more metal that what they delivered, but a live show nonetheless. No alcohol either. I must have been the oldest cat in the place, too.
Portland downtown is great, a little big city. A lot of young people, too. This must make it decent for lots of metal bands to play there. I'm jealous.
I didn't get to any gigs this trip, maybe next time.
