Possible final MIX. Please listen. (Quad Fredman technique quitars)

good job!:kickass:

very impressive natural kit. Got any pics of your studio tracking room? Is it mainly that you have a good room or good processing in the mix?
It was processing. My room is too small to get a good sound. I have it as dead as possible, a lot of OC703 bass traps and clouds.

One of my tricks to cope with this technical shortcoming is to duplicate my OverHead track. Put a low shelf a few dB down @ 200-400Hz on it. Then put a good sounding Impulse of a nice room. Usually a good "Studio A" sound. I'll treat this track as if it was actual room mics. Parallel comp it afterwards, and mix it in just enough so that it sounds there, but not as a reverb effect. that will make the drums loose focus and probably sound cheesy.

I really love the bass sound. As said before, the kick was ducking the entire mix, but on the 2nd version it's admissible.

Great mix!
The bass was a Warwick 5 string Corvette into a Mesa ImPulse600. The cab was a old Fender 1x15 cab. It may have been a JBL speaker w/ aluminum dustcap in it. Audix I5 aimed where dustcap meets cone. the pre was a Seventh Circle N72.
A lot of the sound is actually that Warwick. We were originally going to use an IbaneszSRX bass, but it crapped out during scratch tracks. The bassist went out an bought the Warwick, and boy was the difference huge. It growls, and has a ton of output to help push the ImPulse's input stage. It has an aggressive, yet clear and smooth sound. Made me a big fan of Warwicks. lol
