Just been getting into this genre. Stuff like Isis, Red Sparrowes, Explosions in the Sky are awesome.
Prefer without vocals, but don't particularly mind either way.

Wondering what you guys would recommend?

As in the title, don't limit to just metal.

lol, I've recommended this in like 3 threads now, but listen to Agalloch. Post rock meets black/folk metal. Falling Snow is probably my favorite song, but I can't think of one I don't like.

As for straight post-rock, Mogwai and Godspeed! You Black Emperor are solid.

Thanks, but heard them, got the albums .
Edit: posted this before I read your mogwai part.
I've heard some of both bands, like mogwai but I could never get into Godspeed, where would be a good place to start?

"Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven" is my favorite

God Is An Astronaut.

The new album (self titled) is awesome, as are all of them tbh.

I think they're way better than EITS.

Some of my fav's...

Dianogah - Millions Of Brazilians
Do make say think - Goodbye Enemy Airship the Landlord Is Dead, & yet & yet
Grails - Red Light
Tortoise - TNT
Shipping News - The flies the fields
Slint - Spiderland

Check out Om. Bass and drums with minimal vocals. They're not strictly post-rock/metal but I reckon they'd appeal to fans of the style.

Check out The Ocean, Minsk or Neurosis for post-metal.

Concerning post-rock, there's a lot of stuff I could recommend.. I don't like Explosions in the Sky, though.
You MUST try Lis Er Stille from Denmark and their 2007 release, which is incredible.

Some other nice post-rock bands:
sleepmakeswaves
夢中夢
Ef
The Calm Blue Sea (brilliant stuff!!!)
