Just for fun, post a bit of band trivia. Go!
*****************************************

Bassist Jim Sheppard and singer Warrel Dane of Nevermore are certified chefs, and formerly owned a restaurant in Seattle.

Your turn...

I think Nergal is certified to be a museum curator.

I know Dez from Devildriver is also a meaaaaan fucking cook. I don't think he's a pro technically but shit that guy can cook. I know from experience, dude. When I toured with them, they had the grill goin everyday.

there's a 95% chance Lemmy has fathered about 50% of us

:tickled:

- Warrel Dane was born Warrel G. Baker.

- Nevermore's "Dreaming Neon Black" is a concept album of sorts, revolving around Warrel's former girlfriend who joined a religious cult and was never seen or heard of again.

- Jeff Loomis auditioned for Megadeth after Jeff Young was "released" but Mustaine considered him to be too young (he was 16 at that time). When Glen Drover left Megadeth, Mustaine once again approached Loomis but he turned down this time, resulting in Chris Broderick being recruited.

- Chris Broderick once slammed DiMarzio pick-ups for being very cheaply made on his forum. Now he endorses DiMarzio.

- On Slayer's "Evil Has No Boundaries", the opener for "Show No Mercy", you hear Gene Hoglan doing some gang-shouts as he used to be their roadie back then.

- While being a roadie, Gene Hoglan gave Dave Lombardo lessons on how to get better with double bass.

- Slayer's video for "Seasons In The Abyss" is supposed to take place in ancient Egypt, yet you see an extra wearing a watch.

- Anthrax' "Efilnikufesin (N.F.L)" is about the life of John Belushi

- Anthrax' "A.D.I./Horror Of It All" stands for Arabian Douche Intro

- Anthrax' "A.I.R." is an acronym for "Adolescence In Red"

- Frankie Bello is Charlie Benante's cousin

- John Bush was asked to be Metallica's singer around "Kill 'em All", but he turned down.

- A guy named Lloyd Grant, not Mustaine, played the solo on the first recording of "Hit The Lights". Hetfield played the bass.

- Axl Rose wanted some "pornographic noises" on GN'R's "Rocket Queen", so he took a chick named Adriana Smith into the studio and fucked her. Said chick was actually drummer Steven Adler's girlfriend. Engineer Michael Barbiero refused to record the "sex session" so he left the task to his assistnat, Vic Deyglio. Deyglio actually had to come in at one point to re-adjust a microphone that Rose and the girl bumped into. Deyglio got credited on "Appetite For Destruction" as "Victor 'the fucking engineer' Deglio".

- Slash has a tiny defibrillator in his chest since he's been 35.

- Slash once locked himself up in a hotel room for several days, only equipped with about 30 bottles of Jack Daniels.

Yeah, Loomis is unreal. Dude played Yngwie tracks note for note when he hit 14.

Another one:

- Exodus' "Deliver Us To Evil" and the "Fed-Exodus" gimmick are allusion to the fact that the band commonly used to send drugs and drug money throughout the country with Fed-Ex.

Billy Milano (vox SOD/MOD) tends bar in Texas 6 nights a week

Greg D'Angelo (White Lion) was the original drummer of Anthrax

While in Napalm Death Bill Steer originally wanted Michael Amott to join the band not as a second guitarist (like the rest of ND thought) but as his replacement so he could focus on his new band called Carcass

We've played Headhunters, he also does the sound. The PA isnt some grand system, no mics on the guitars at all. I switched patches as I was going into a lead and Billy walked by with his fingers in his ears looking at me, I just nodded and turned it down lol. He was fucking super nice though.

After leaving Iron Maiden and during a low point in his solo career, singer Bruce Dickinson took up flying. He currently is a captain for a UK charter airline and takes a leave of absence when necessary to tour with Iron Maiden.
