Veles - Black Hateful Metal/Night On The Bare Mountain

How is that? I've heard many mixed opinions on Veles in general.

Chakal - Demon King (not nearly as good as I expected, but nonetheless a semi return to Thrash for the band)
Destruction - Inventor Of Evil
Dismember - Like An Everflowing Stream
Mutilator - Into The Strange
Saint Vitus - Mournful Cries
Toxic Holocaust - Hell On Earth
Witchtrap - Sorceress Bitch

Combing through the local CD store today i found:

Behemoth- Satanica (remastered)
Between The Buried And Me- s/t
Darkane- Layers of Lies
Immortal- At the Heart of Winter
Neurosis- A Sun That Never Sets
Soilent Green- Confrontation
Today Is The Day- Live Till You Die
Today Is The Day- Sadness Will Prevail
Winds- The Imaginary Direction Of Time

And I finally found out why I haven't been able to get ahold of Primordial's Imrama or Journey's End on my last couple attempts. They are now available together in a 2-disc set... which I swiftly picked up

Excellent raw (and hateful ;)) BM with a weird folkish touch. Night On The Bare Mountain is a tad boring, but decent enough.

As for my recent purchases:

Massacra - Enjoy The Violence
Sempiternal Deathreign - The Spooky Gloom
Belketre - Ambre Zuetki Vuordrevartre (CD re-release)
Demoncy - Joined In Darkness
Godless North - Summon The Age Of Supremacy

Night on the Bare Mountain is pretty darn good methinks, Black Hateful Metal has a number of really interesting ideas but it suffers structurally.

What do you two think about the newest one, The Black Ravens Flew Again or whatever it's called?

Alchemist - Spiritech
Opeth - Deliverance
Iron Maiden - Powerslave
Psycroptic - Scepter of the Ancients
Dungeon - One Step Beyond
Vanishing Point - Embrace the Silence
Kreator - Pleasure to Kill
Nevermore - This Godless Endeavour
Obituary - Frozen in Time
Megadeth - Rust In Peace
Battalion - Into Harms Way
Chasm - Spell of Retribution

Isis - Oceanic Remixes and Interpretations
Midnattsol - Where Twlight Dwells
Opeth - Ghost Reveries
Circus Maximus - First Chapter
Fates Warning - Awaken The Guardian (remaster)
John Petrucci - Suspended Animation
Old Man's Child - Vermin
The Cult - Rare Cult (7 CD boxset)

The Sempiternal Deathreign is quite excellent old-school doom/death. I haven't given it a proper listen, though. Recommended if you enjoy slow and prolonged doom sections. It'll be a bitch to find, mind you. Summon The Age Of Supremacy by Godless North is about the worst Transilvanian Hunger rip-off I've ever heard. Avoid.

Bitterness - Autumn's Fall
Deny the Urge - Subsequent Confrontations
Merlin - They Must Die
Thronesbreed - The Splendour of the Repellent
Suicide - One of your Neighbours
Neurotic - The Rebirth of Sin
Vexed - Destruction Warfare
Buried God - Dark Revelation
The Chasm - Procession to the Infraworld
Primordial - Imrama/A Journey's End double CD package

I don't remember what my last haul was, but this one:

Abhorer - Unholy Blasphemer
Centurions Ghost - A Sign Of Things To Come
Exciter - Long Live The Loud
Dusk - Carpathian Darkness
Flames - Merciless Slaughter
Intruder - A Higher Form Of Killing
Seance - Fornever Laid To Rest
