You're confusing "antisocial" with "asocial".

Actually, I think as Hobo too... When someone does not like to be around people or is not precisely very social with a determined kind of people, like strangers for example, you say that person is antisocial. I think we all call it that way.
The whole meaning of "antisocial", the disorder, whatever, might carry lots of other little meanings, might not be the same to be called an antisocial because you don't like to be round people, etc, than to be diagnosed with an antisocial disorder and all the things that disorder might carry, but I think overall antisocial means the same for everybody... and means mostly that: you don't like to socialize with people.
I haven't read much of antisocial disorder so I can't know exactly.
Mm I messed it a bit heh, hope I didn't cause much confusion :)

Kev: seems you are very paranoid... Beware, I might be following you... :p

Angelina: yes, obviously in everyday, spoken language "antisocial" is often used to denote what you and Hobo describe, however the "official", psychiatric terminology uses "Antisocial personality disorder" to denote "impulsive behavior, disregard for social norms, and indifference to the rights and feelings of others", while "schizoid personality disorder" denotes "a lack of interest in social relationships, a tendency towards a solitary lifestyle, and emotional coldness".

So, you are right when you talk about the meaning of "antisocial" in everyday language, when speaking of personality disorders it carries a somewhat different connotation :)

I dunno about this test but here's what I assume about myself.

Paranoid: only on drugs(so it's a good thing I stay away from them) or when the police are around(I have a sixth sense for bacon)
Schizoid: Adam might be?
Schizotypal: I wouldn't know now would I?
Antisocial: depends on if i'm around idiots or not
Borderline: Borderline what? I debate things a lot.
Histrionic: I only over react in relationships and never for attention.
Narcissistic: "I" am.
Avoidant: who you callin avoidant?
Dependent: Try my hardest not to be.
Obsessive-Compulsive: Yes, Ma'am. I am Ma'am.
