i´m gasing for a 19" guitar setup right now and already own a behringer bass v- amp pro.
so the question is what power amp to use? please don´t tell me that the v-amp suxx and so... it is used to rehearse not to record.
now i run it into the crate power block and get the best results plugging it direct in the front input. is that the right way to do it? i tried the return but than it sound kinda dull.
the cd input is a little better, but with the front input it sounds best to me. besides that the front knobs are all active , but the internal cab sim of the PB is not.
could this cause any damages?

what do you guys think about the http://www.thomann.de/de/tamp_s100.htm ?
google says that a pa power amp behind a modeler could be used and doesn´t color the sound that much to not. or should i stick with the power block and mount it into the 19" rack case?

any other suggestions are welcome!
thanks for helping!

cheers!

in other words... would (or do) you use a PA power amp with a pod / axe FX / v-amp or any other modeler into a guitar cab? or should it be a guitar power amp?

My old V-amp 2 has always worked great on gigs with many guitar amps like my old Peavey Bandit 112 MKII http://fr.audiofanzine.com/combo-guitare/peavey/Transtube-Bandit-112-S-USA-Sheffield/ or on any PA systems...

I remember how surprised I was when I plugged it on a cheap PA system one day, great sound, really (and cheap PA speakers as well !).

About TUBE guitar power amps, some people should find the tone so so, try before buy...
