this is also really weird b/c i sort of like, blew off hofstadter and even returned GED to the library without reading it again entirely, but today i took metamagical themas to the laundramat and had a go at the meme articles.

Well, one of my questions regarded the "tree" on page 136 of GEB and the way he got that from the function G(n)=n-G(G(n-1)) with n>0 and G(0)=0 but I figured my way out of that one.

There's also that sequence of numbers from the end of the Figure and Ground chapter...

this has always been sort of like a ... yea i 'mostly' get it sort of thing for me. i need to get my own copy of that book! or take it back out of the library.
