How do you guys run it? I never find myself using past 8 or so, usually aroud 6/7 on my 6505. I've seen people running presence super high so maybe I'm shooing myself in the foot.

I've been using presence around 3 like forever. Then I researched what settings other people use and discovered, that they all seem to crank it way higher than I'm used to. So I tried it again with very high settings and it seems like I prefer 8 with the highs a bit lower than normally. More then 8 gets to harsh for me though

My current 6505 settings: Gain - 6, Bass - 6, Mid - 5, Treble - 4.5, Resonance - 4, Presence - 7.5
On a 4x12 cab with v30, sounds good to my ears

I also usually stay at 3. But my general rule is you can crank the presence as long as it never exceeds where the treble knob is at cause after that it's just scratchy city.

presence between 8.5 - 9.2

That´s the sweet spot for me
