presonus studio live?

what do you guys think of it?

im considering an upgrade in interface/mixer because im building my own studio live and control room down the bottom of my garden and thought this looks like an amazing option.

is there anything comparable and possibly cheaper?

The Studio Live is meant for live applications - it does not funcation as a good studio DAW/control surface. I would look at just getting a decent interface setup with as many channels as suit your needs - and then find a control surface that fits in your budget.
