I kind of think songs like "persecuted" and "legions" are more like a Dave Mustaine old Megadeth Thrash rhythm then a Black Metal one.I don't listen to much Black Metal mostly what I see on Headbangers ball, but the beginnings of those two Testament songs always reminded me off Dave...hmm if Black Metal has rhythms like that maybe I should listen to more? Oh wait they are pretty heavy on keyboards right?
London was immense - Testament were by far the best band and should have had at least another 15 mins to play - the crowd loved em!
Megadeth started very slowly and were ok and as good as they are - I just couldnt warm to em cos its now Dave + 3 others musicians but then again Dave is Megadeth in the same way that Axl considers himself to be G 'n' R
Priest were outstanding from start to finish - awesome show - although I would have traded less Priest for more Testament any day of the week!
Bollocks to the shit overpriced beer they were serving - Becks Vier is shit and at £3.50 a pint its expensive monkey piss for what it is - probably the reason I got half shitfaced in Wetherspoons pub prior to the show
I don't think it makes much difference that Ellefson is gone. The music still sounds like Megadeth. It's just weird that he's not there, because he was in the band for so long. I always leave hope that Mustaine might bring him back one day, as far fetched as it might seem. Stranger things have happened.
Megadeth does not sound the same to me.The bass is not upfront anymore and Mustaine can take credit for all the cool bass lines of the past he want's,but the fact is that there has not been any cool bass parts since Dave JR has been gone.He has just added stupid keyboard.I do hope he comes back but your right I won't hold my breath !
