Primal Fear

I´m curious about Magnus Karlsson contribution on the songwriting in this new album.

Overall, I like a lot "Primal fear" and "Nuclear fire". "Jaws of death" and "New religion" are decent ones. But the other three :ill: I don´t like at all.

I prefer a million times mighty Sinner than Primal Fear.

I started with "Seven Seals" and I like it a lot, I love "New Religion" so I have great expectations for "16.6: (Before The Devil Knows You're Dead)" .

At their worst they are very very generic but with the last two albums they've improved a lot IMO. Also interesting to see what Mr. Karlsson's influence will be, quite an odd match when you think about it but it just might work. I saw them live on the New Religion tour and they were good. Scheepers especially was rock solid, not a bum note the entire night. That's pretty respectable from someone who's been screaming for over 20 years now. The guy's a pro. :kickass:

I agree they have improved quite a bit since their debut album and I too am excited about the new record!!!!!

I don't much care for Sinner. Mat's not much of a singer. I do like their latest album it's more of a modern rock album...
Primal Fear smokes Sinner.

Totally disagree. There´s only 1 modern rock song (an excellent Marvelous 3 cover, by the way). The rest are among classic Sinner from the 80´s, Thin Lizzy inspired songs, melodic ones and a The Cult wannabe ("Revolution"). Overall, is a very good album.

Mats isn´t Ralf like singer but, for me, I prefer by far Sinner than Primal Fear. Much more dynamic, fresh, diverse,...:headbang:

Never took the time to check Sinner. For now PF is doing fine for me, let's see the new album and maybe I'll check Mat other band in the future.

You know maybe modern was a wrong choice, I should have said contemporary.

One of the few bands that have given me NOTHING to complain about. I like their debut just as much as I like the newer stuff. I'm a huge fan of Ralf's, way back to the Gamma Ray days... Hell, I even like the Tyran Pace stuff as well...

my drummer loves this band, He showed me their drummer doing some crazy ass fill where he goes right-handed, and then 10 seconds later switches to left-handed. That was pretty fuckin cool if i do say so myself

I also agree that they have improved!!!

Sheepers would have been a great replacement for Halford if it had not been Ripper Owens! He has all the tones where Ripper only had the highs.

Metal Is Fore-vaaaaaaaa!
