I've only listened to their demo (Dark Romanticism). I'm a bad person indeed, as I'm thinking this is a band I'd love.

Is their other material a bit different from the demo?

Primordial is my favorite band. Ever. Every single album is fucking phenomenal. If you like Dark Romanticism then you should like the first two albums, "Imrama" and "Journey's End", the latter of which is often lauded as their best. The later albums are certainly less black metal influenced, but more original in my opinion. Their latest "To The Nameless Dead" was a 10/10 album for me.

I'm a total Nemtheanga/Primordial fanboy, and I curse myself for missing HC1. Fortunately, I caught them at the Ragnaroek festival in Germany and they were unbelievable.

Do you happen to share a cave with Bin Laden? Seriously, every hour that you spend listening to another band is wasted on what time you could be spending with Primordial instead.

Possibly one of the greatest metal bands on the planet, ever.

And they're even more amazing live. Seen them at HC1 and in Sweden and they absolutely blew me away both times.

I'd start with the latest "To the Nameless Dead" as it's probably their most immediate album (yet still loaded with substance).

You really can't go wrong with any of 'em, yet I guess I find myself spinning "Storm Before Calm" the least. "Spirit the Earth Aflame" has another immediate fist pumping anthem in the form of Gods to the Godless. "A Journey's End" is the best of the earlier black/paganish sound.

But yeah, if it has the Primordial stamp on the cd, listen.

You might want to give both Mael Mordha albums a shot as well.
