Hey guys,

Being in this band has opened doors and opportunities for me, which I might not have had otherwise. With a growing underground fan base, my participation with this forum, and other online areas, it's very easy to reveal personal things about my life, and I chose to do so in the lyric book I wrote. I am a very private person, and I do try to keep that separate from the band, but sometimes no matter how hard you try, some things just can't be kept private.

Over the past few days, as the news was spread through my group of friends, others who have heard the news began to contact me in private, not knowing if they should say anything in the open. Thank you for your discretion, and I really appreciate that. After repeating my self several times responding to many people, I thought it would be more an honor to my father, then to keep it quiet, and personal.

On March 5th, at 4:00 am, my father passed away, and was buried on Friday, March 7th.

I just wanted to say thanks to those who have privately sent me condolences, offered to help us with anything we needed, and just sent kind words. I and my family appreciate it, dearly.

Paul - I am very sorry to hear of this news.
My deepest sympathy to you and your family in this trying time.

I remember your father (and other family members) were present at the show in 2005 at the Wheaton Grand. That was so awesome that he got a chance to see you perform, and see you do what you love to do!

Awful, terribly sorry

Sometimes it is best to just get it out there, i'm a private person as well and i don't reveal much about myself except through the music i write, but occasionally things happen that i just can't keep in and it always helps to get it out to whomever i can, even if that means anonymous strangers. Wish you well!

I'm very sorry to hear that, Paul. I remember seeing some "parent aged" folks with you guys at Powerfest last year, but I don't know if they were your folks or Arline's.

I hope Rhiannon is old enough that she'll be able to hang on to some good granddad memories when she's older. I only remember grandparents on my dad's side of the family, not my mom's.

Paul - That's awesome that your pop's made it out to ND shows. God Bless.

Hope your doing well there Paul. Its always hard losing someone that you love and respect.

Btw, I misread the thread and thought it said Piracy. So this was kind of suprising to read.

Again, Sorry for your loss.

My condolences. I'm very close with my father and he's had some near-death experiences. God knows I would be absolutely crushed to lose him, so I'm very sorry for your loss, but i'm sure he's very proud that you made a contribution to the world by helping to create music; one of the most important things any man can do, and good music at that. God bless and certainly God speed.
