PRO tools 9 tempo problem

alright guys im new to pro tools and before i start recording i just need to know the following thing:
how do i synchronise my mouse with the tempo?i mean to be able to go exactly at 2.1 bar
because i cannot edit when it's not cooperating with the tempo
i know this is a simple question to most of you but as i said im new to pro tools

I don't understand the question. Are you asking about setting a tempo? Using grid mode?

i think using grid mode is what i want to say.
i just want to edit using cut/paste etc and every move cannot be performed 100% in the tempo.
it's like in cubase when you choose quantise or not
