pro tools HD on boot camp

Hey guys,

not been on here for a while and thought one of you guys may be able to help me out

was wondering if any one knows if this config would work, OBVIOUSLY i'm gonna run HD in osx 99% of the time but would be nice to know if it can be done? being as i'm about to drop 10 grand on it....eep!!!

well bootcamp is essentially running your mac as a pc, so it shouldn't be a problem. I run LE in bootcamp sometimes, and it works fine. The only problem I could foresee is firmware on the cards may be mac/pc specific, and may need to be updated everytime you switch between the two...

you see thats what i thought - forgot to mention that i got le working fine - it's the PCIe cards i worry about suck it and see i guess - gonna see if i can get the shop to sort out a test senario for me - think it's the only way

From asking around, the firmware on the Accel Core cards is card specific, rather than PC/Mac specific. So as long as the drivers for the windows install have been properly implemented, and also the OSX install was done, it should be no problem to switch back and forth. Be sure that both installs are running the same version number though.

although aren't the PCIe cards supposed to be mac only?
