hello, guys!
I have a Line6 POD X3 live and I ought to say I'm pretty pleased with its capabilities.
I use it as a sound card for recording throudh DAWs and everything's fine. I have managed to record many of my songs in decent quality.
Recently, I got into using impulse response technology for cabinet simulation.
I usually use my AKG phones for recording/jamming (the phones are plugged in the "phones" slot on my X3).
The thing that I want is to hear the processed signal from the phones ONLY and not both the direct sound from the X3 and the processed that comes from the DAW.
Is that manageable?
I obviously have the "match studio/direct" choice in the outputs section so, eventually, I hear both signals -processed via my DAW's settings (that includes EQ,cab simulation etc) and the direct sound from the X3's settings-.
I just want to turn the direct signal down and fully focus on the processed so I can jam with impulses and expirement with setting to make my sound better!!!
By hearing both the unprocessed and processed signals, I can't jam and I can't tweak solely the processed one.
I have to record something and then try to tweak it...
I hope there's a way through this!
