My mate managed to get one off ebay for £160, second hand but it looked pretty new and sounded great.
They are also one of my favourites on guitar cabs too, and they look cool too.
But as my band is recording our demo now (in an old barn actually) we got some pretty cool tones out of puttin a sm57 in the hand of the screamer and using a condenser a couple of feet further away at the same time!
I feel the condenser just fills what the SM57 (or 58 for that matter) cant seem to get! well i dont know.. test it!
I thought about recording my vox that way, handheld + condenser far away but I decided against because I figured the difference in distance would mean a tiny delay between mics?
It works pretty good just keep the condenser a few feet away and dont scream directly into it and mix the two mics to you liking, ill post a sample of my raw mix at a new thread soon.. I need some mastering and mixing help you see
