Hey I'm a progressive fan too. I'm from Cabo Rojo. Dt and Symphony X are my favorites, but believe me there's a lot of bands out there that are as good as them. So is up to us to find them :)

It's great to know that there is a prog metal audience in our island. Anyway just to let you know of some of my current favorites:

Thershold (UK) excellent band heavy and with a great melodic singer.

Ark - featuring Tore Ostby/John Macaluso/Randy Coven/Mats Olausson and Jorn Lande on vocals.

And if you guys are interested in instrumental prog - check out
Cosmosquad - Incredible playing! they feature Jeff Kolman on guitar Shane Gaalas on drums and Barry Sparks on bass.

Once again,
thanks for the support!!

Hello Leonardo Rivera, greetings from Mexico.
I can not listen to your music since my computer
is a Compaq Presario 1993 and the processor
do not admit software for processing mp3 files.
I would like to know if you have studied vocals
at some school, or you are fully lyrical in your
vocal knowledge.
Good luck.

Hello!

First of all, Thanks for your interest in our band's music!

Like most singers out there I started singing along to
records and such (Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath etc.)
but once I got serious about singing, I studied classical
singing for 4 years with 2 great vocal coaches that I admire
a lot. I think formal studies always help you develop your
style and most importantly it teaches you to take good care
of your voice.

Some of my favorite singers are:
Michael Kiske
Tony Martin
Ray Alder
Bruce Dickinson

Leo

Excellent! What is your range, from which note to what note?
I hope you enjoy singing all your life, in this band or in another,
although power metal, progressive metal, and progressive rock
are not as commercially mainstream as other genres, but has
their loyal fans, specially in Europe.

I only know Dickinson. Let me check the other ones...

My range... well I have a 3 octave range, the lowest note
being G on the Tenor register. It's not like Michael Kiske's, but it has allowed me to work within the framework of our music :)

Hey!!! Juan here from Manati. I like many prog bands being my faves Pain Of Salvation, Ark, Ayreon, Time Machine (damn, I love these Italians...) and Evergrey. I also listen to lots of Death Metal (yep, the real gory-bloody stuff like Cannibal Corpse, Incantation, Suffocation, old Carcass, etc...), but my passion is Thrash Metal, good ol' Thrash Metal from the 80's, Kreator, Sodom, SDI, Exodus, Toxik, Whiplash, etc.... Well, this must be 'cause I am 31, and began listening to metal way back in 1982 (thanks Judas Priest, thanks!!!!)

If progression is your thing I do recommend Artension(Phoenix Rising is their best album) and Shadow Gallery too.
Other good bands:
Adagio
Dalli's Dilemma
Altura(only one album but very good)
Ice Age-very good singer
Sonata Artica
Majestic
Royal Hunt
Under the Sun(Ozzy sound like singer)

This genre is very popular in Europe.
Tom

90's +

Flower Kings, King's X, Transatlantic, Spock's Beard, Dream Theater, Fates Warning, Dali's Dilemma...and of course, ALL THAT I BLEED.
