Programming/automating a tremolo divebomb?

How would you guys go about it? You know? Pitch-shifting plug-in? Which? Whant kind of settings for the plug-in?

I don't really care if it's got the ultimate realism, but as long as it sounds cool and doesn't sound like the pitch-shifter is going in steps... just a smooth uniform divebomb.

If it were me, I would automate a quick cents (not semitones) pitch shift as well as a gradual but quick tempo change. No plug-in necessary. Alternatively there are effect plug-ins that simulate a "tape stop". That's the sound I'm assuming you're looking for. Do a google search for "tape stop".

PT9 comes with Vari-Fi which wil do that in about 2 second, you just highlight the audio and use it in AudioSuite....hope that helps, just figured it out myself...
