Excellent show. Same setlist as LA.. masters, baying, in my time of need, wreath, heir apparent & drapery.
The whole band was spot on, and crowd reaction was phenomenal. We booked it as soon as they left the stage, went outside to find that we were amongst maybe 4-5 people that left immediately following Opeth. Started seeing their gear being loaded up into a trailer following a small van.. looked up into the windows at the back of the Paramount and, on top.. saw Mike and Bass, and in the lower window Per. They all lit up cigarettes, I yelled up to Mike, he looked out, gave me a thumbs up.. then Fredrik poked his head out sideways trying to see what was going on

All in all, excellent set.. Axe has improved 100% from the last time I saw them (Gigantour). Fredrik is pretty transparent playing live (well, except for the Heir solo).. but that's not necessarily a bad thing. He just needs to cut his hair ;)

Oh, and Bass is almost as tall as Axe when he's sitting behind his kit

In the end, I could not have asked for a more incredible birthday. Thanks guys!! I wish I could drive up to PDX to see you all by yourselves tonight!

It was fucking amazing man, wreath especially. Even though it was a lame sit down, it was still fuckin phenomenal. Opeth topped any expectation i had before, and unlike the rest of the bands, they sounded fuckin as good or better than on record live. Man, amazing night. Hope they come back as they said after Watershed's released. Bought one of those badass watershed sweatshirts in the lobby too, amazing night overall.
It was really fucking fun.

I was there too. Great fucking show. Too bad Dream Theater sucks shit live and only has a few good songs that they failed to play. Opeth should have been the headlining band. "If there's snot running down my nose, it's just snot. It's not crack cocaine."

Heh. That was probably my group. We caught them out back right after they got done playing as well. Do you have any pictures? Want me to send ours your direction?

Heir Apparent and Wreath in one fuckin concert totally blew my mind. Three was good, BTBAM was ass, Dream Theater was good till that singer chap started singing. Left pretty much after forsaken, which was decent. Too bad Opeth didn't headline, they were 100 times more kickass than DT.
Still can't get over seeing Opeth for the first time, and rofl Mikael is fuckin funny on stage.
