Project I'm working on. Piano/'Metalcore'

Yeah it sounds like a cool song but the mixing is not great. The panning is crazy, everything's jumbled up and way under the piano.

I'm not even sure what you did.
Tell us more about how you went about mixing it and hopefully we can help.

I can tell you right now though that everything except the piano needs to come up. Also, the guitars could use some work. What is your chain there?

Also you can't like even hear the kick.

I do really like the sound of the piano though, what did you use there?

Well, I think what's screwing up my panning that I selected the binaural option on my output for all tracks. Then the guitars are left and right with a little bleed to the opposite side. I don't know how to make them louder without just setting them in the middle.

Guitar chain goes: sm57 -> Presonus FireStudio Project -> Logic Studio 8
I don't know if that's what you mean, I haven't posted much on here before.

The room the amp was in has a great amount of reverb, sheet rock,
an unfinished studio, untreated in every way.
Guitar is a epiphone sg, not very good. and everything else is just ITB type stuff.

The piano is the pop piano preset on Logic.
acoustic piano's ->pop piano.
I think it's a yamaha.

any more questions, just let me know.
Thanks, guys.

What amp did you use?
And did you record a clean DI signal as well?

It sounds better, but the guitars are still too quiet and don't fit great.

A 15 watt Spider 2 practice amp.
I don't have a large room to record in.
and no, I'm not really sure how to record a DI signal.

Guitars have always been my biggest problem.

If you have the option, I would re record it with guitar plugged directly into your interface (or through a DI box into your interface, if you have one) and then use amp sims, there are plenty of great free ones. If this isn't an option, you'll have to work with the tone you have, I'd reccomend posting your tracks up here, I'm sure there are people here who could help eq em to a workable sound.

Yeah you would probably just want to upload each individual track in your mix (Guitar R, Guitar L, Bass, Kick, etc.) so as to have context for how the guitar sounds in to the mix. You Could put them all in one folder, right click it, press compress or zip or whatever it says and then upload just that.
