I have heard so many people say "Pantera" differently.. so how exactly do you pronounce it? Pronounciations I have heard are...
"Pan-tee-rah"
"Pan-terror"
"Pan-tear-ah"
Hmm... anybody?

Oh, and also...
How do you pronounce Satyricon?
Is it.. "Sah-tear-e-con"?

And another... Deicide.
Alot of people say this differently.. is it..
"De-side"
"De-ah-side"
"Die-side"....??

Why can't bands just have simple names.. like Opeth.. :D
(Obviously not for Jayde though.. ;) )

What are you trying to say, Saphira? :err:

What about Sepultura? Or Meshuegah (or however it's spelled?)

My friend, who is in love with Sepultura, pronounces it "Sep-ul-too-ra" I dunno if it's right. I just wonder.........

well, for starters, the word deicide is from the word deity, meaning a supreme being, pronounced "day-a-tee", so I pronounce deicide "day-ah-side" (im australian so it may sound funny to you yanks)

what about borknagar? is it "bork-nay-gar" or "bork-na-gar"??

In finnish language we don´t have this kind of problems...:)

Pantera: "Pan-tear-ah"
Strange, most people around where I live say it "Pan-terra" like metalman said.

EDIT: I just realized that the people who said "tear" probably mean "to rip", not the stuff we cry.

IT's actually DAYSIDE
Not Deeeeeeahhhhhside

Deity - daaaaaaaaaaayyyyy ah teeeeeeeeeee
Deicide - ddaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayh at siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidddddddeeeeee

I've actually talked to 'em before and asked this question.
