it still crashes from time to time, regardless of using a 2 core pc or 8 core mac!

id love to get the HD1 upgrade from my LE rig, but to be honest, at the home studio setup im only ever recording 4 channels max, and i have a nice pre for that and i rarely use more than 36 channels!

I upgraded my PT 8 to 8.0.3 yesterday evening....it seems an improvement. Expecially when you make a selection, improved colors etc... I've to do some intensive test

new mac pro = the same volume level of a book sitting on a table makes

as in... no sound at all

my 192 interface is much much louder than the mac pro

I was actually talking about power not noise! haha I know Macs are usually pretty silent and I've worked with a Mac Pro and it's dead silent! That's why I built my custom PC with zero fans ^^

i bet your psu has a fan

my windows pc has a lot of mods to make it silent, and its still loud as crap

i love my mac tho, even with all of its fans, i can't tell if its on without looking at the power light
