Supposedly yes, most stoner rock have psychedelia elements intertwined with the doom base. Frankly they bore me out of my skull. Doom is great but stoner...

lots of bands from the 60's up to today can be defined as psychedelic.. Hendrix and other's in the 60's... etc.. but to me the one band who perfected it into a artform was Pink Floyd ... I'm currently reading a bio book on them (Saucerful of Secrets) and believe me before they came out with Pipers.. they were psychedelic to the core... and still were on all their albums in one way or another...
