Aye! On my home setup I'm really digging Massey Tapehead. It often finds it's way to vocals and bass.

actually I never have. I know it seems petty, but I'd rather save the extra 100 bucks. 450 is alot of a saturation plugin IMO, and I'm happy with what I get out of the MCDSP stuff (pretty much my favorite brand in general).
urs saturation is good and inflator are also good.
digi's tape plugin on snare is great but it is expensive.....

Well if you got money for an HD system then you can probably buy the Crane Song Phoenix. It is one of the best saturation plugins out there

hahahahaha I use other peoples systems, I don't own one myself. But I'll give it a try!

Whats the best way to incorporate Phoenix, do you use it on the master bus only or master bus plus auxes and tracks or would that be overkill?
Lo-fi.. now thats a plug Ive heard interesting things about lately so will have to check out! I think the name 'lo-fi' always made me think it was a cheapo kinda plugin that nobody uses but obviousley not! Cheers.
Ive never tried Ac1/Ac2 or the Duy stuff yet but have always been curious thanks to Charles Dye. Ill def have to demo them.
Digi's Tape, yeah thats expensive! Love to try it though..

I bought Tapehead a while ago but still cant make up my mind if I actually like what it does or not mmm?? Kinda sounds a bit harsh but maybe thats because Im over doing it?
When I mix on my LE rig at home Ive been using Mixsaturator as the first plugin on all of the tracks, so need something on HD that does the same, you know, set and forget!
On a slight tangent but anybody using a Distressor on the way in just for the distort 2/3 modes?
