I recorded my friends band yesterday and I thought it turned out fairly well.
I used pod farm on bass, and guitars.
I record vocals with a Shure SM7b, I would love some tips on adding effects to vocals. I've tried compression, attack, widening, and nothing seems to bring out the clear, aggressive quality I truly want. For this song, and all my other songs, I apply a preset on Trackplug 5 called Vocal Showstopper, and use compression on the vocals. I would love to not have to use this preset, and have a good idea on what I should actually do to make the vocals sound better myself.
Any feedback helps!
Thanks!
