I just about shit when I heard this woman.
Tiny little Japanese female voice--then belts out music that rocks you on your ass.



This one is a little more traditional, apparently Kokia made a lot of songs for video games and anime movies, like Origin:

That was really nice. For my tastes, the first song is too light and the second is too pop-oriented, but she has a nice voice. I can't call her 'prog' but her song "Harmony" is pretty sweet.

When it comes to badass game music from Japan that rocks you on your ass, I prefer JAM Project.
