Q for Planet Waves Auto-Trim owners.

Would it be wrong to assume that when fitting new strings, that there should not be any 'string conditioning' required with the Auto-Trim system?

That is to say that new strings are supposed to stay in tune the very first time, and not require slight adjustments after lets say 15 minutes of playing?

you always need to stretch your strings, its a fact of life. has nothing to do with the tuners you use.

Exactly, I've got a couple of guitars with the tuners your talking about and they're good tuners but the strings still need to be stretched.

But anyway, thank you guys. I was under the insane impression that locking tuners and locking floyd-roses made string stretching redundant.
