Fot hose who don't know, Jeff Scott Soto is a fucking awesome vocalist. Vocalist for Yngwie, Axel Rudi Pell and Talisman - as well as backing vocals on countless other albums.

He was also half the voice of Rock Star.

I have Jeff Scott Soto singing "Save Me" on a Queen tribute album called Dragon Attack. Bought it because Bruce Kulick and Eric Singer play on one track, but the rest of it's worth a listen as well.

Courtesy of Duellist, I've just heard Brian May's "Back To The Light" for the first time. Very similar to the final two Queen albums (The Miracle and Innuendo) IMHO, in that it has quite a few moments of absolute brilliance mixed in with some real fillers.

No.. my mistake. He was approached but was unable to do anything. So they got JSS, who sounds exactly like him anyway.
