I'm going to go see these 2 tonight in New Hampshire Anybody else going to this? it should be fukin cool I'v been really lucking out lately theres been alot of almost close shows hahahaha its still gonna be 5 hours driving nut it will be worth every min of it!

Let us know how it was.

I´ll be in the New England area starting tomorrow night through the end of May. I managed to only find a few shows to attend and both of them I have to drive quite far to get to. The first is BLUE ÖYSTER CULT at Toads Place in New Haven ConnectiCULT and the other is in New Jersey somewhere to see DIVINITY DESTROYED and BEYOND THE FLESH.

ok So we drove From Northfield Vt to Hampton Beach Nh it took a good 3 to 5 hours to get there so we arrive I get the ticks and smoke a ton of pot waiting for the doors to open for like an hour and its cold by the ocean this time of year hahaha so then we go in get past all the bullshit security and walk in .... What I saw Ruined my mood for the rest of the night ... Tables and chairs Rows and rows of em I was pissed now realizing that I'm not going to beable to fight my way to the front of the stage and that this might turn out to be a Tame show ...... Never in my life have I seen so many Closet Metal Heads I felt so out of place this wasnt my crowd hahaha so Symphony X comes out and Plays for 45 mins and ppl are sitting down! Fucking assholes Here is a premiem Band playing for them and all they can do is sit I was insulted ...hahah sitting down thats not fucking metal! anyways Symphony Rocked really knoccked my socks off The Started their set off with the first 3 songs off of Oddysse and then played some I didnt know but still Kicked ass and then more From Oddysse ... the only thing I could complain about them was they didnt get enough playing time I could have watched them all night .... Romeo is awsome live what a guitar player He put both those fuckers in Queensryche to shame!

OK now Queensryche Comes out and Plays Tribe songs that I dont know lol and then They play 4 or 5 acoustic songs and then They Finally rocked us a lil bit with some Mindcrime Era stuff which they performed very well .... Revolution calling kicked ass! but not Being that big of a Ryche fan I just didnt fit in hahaha it wasnt for me and I dont see myself running out to another Queensryche show anytime soon...... Symphony X on the other Hand I want to see those Motherfuckers as the headliners! they were absolutely great and were the reason I was there in the first place

but on my scale of Ear Ringing Fun 10 meaning that my ears will ring for weeks and one No ringing at all I give the show a 2

Symphony X rules! Queensryche Drools!

My favorite SX concert was on the Twilight in Olympus tour, in 1999 or something, man the setlist was awesome for this very intense show in a little venue, and Russel Allen was on fire that night!

I've only seen Queensryche once to this day, a short gig at Gods of Metal festival last year, fortunately they played only Mindcrime stuff :loco:

Cool, I've still not got round to listening to Symphony X yet, but sounds like they could be right up my street!!!!
Queensryche, the memories are there at least...its been toooo long since they produced something worthwhile.........saw them live last year and they just looked bored........Tribe was the final nail in the coffin for me :erk:

That's the only tour I saw them on also. They were opening up for Metallica on the And Justice tour. There were pretty good that night, started out shaky but pulled it together by the end of the set. I liked all of their albums up to Mindcrime, they lost me after that.

___EDIT___
Oops. Didn't notice you said "last year", thought you were talking about the actual Mindcrime tour. How did they sound?

They were quite good, even if they lacked some passion on stage compared to the old days. Except from Geoff Tate who's still a great performer of course.
At least the setlist had only one song from their 90's albums, so I can't complain too much :)
The main problem actually was that their show had to be shortened because of all the delays added up during the day... and David Coverdale refused to delay his show (Whitesnake played right after Queensryche). So the gang from Seattle had to stop after 40 minutes...
