I'm going to be purchasing a 5150 head from my local music store and I was going to get an Avatar cabinet to go with it. I was looking at their Dual Vintage 30 2x12 cabinet. It says that the speakers are 16 ohms wired in parallel for an 8 ohm cab. Do I need an 8 ohm cab like they have already? Or do I need to get that changed to 16 ohm cab? Thanks for the help guys.

Genz Benz G-Flex 2x12's are supposed to be amazinggg! Apparently they sound huuuuge! If you can find one to try out, don't hesitate!

i'm using the 1960 cabs with my 5150, also loaded with the 75w celestions. sounds crushing

Well, the 5150 will be here on tuesday (bloody bank holidays!!), so there will be clips as soon as i get the sod!Yeah, so I ended up getting a Marshall 2x12 with 75 watt celestions. I like it. I can't wait until tomorrow when people are at work to crank the bad boy up. I've gotta get a hot plate for it!

I'm also looking for a 2x12 matching cab for a 6505, I was thinking of buying an 2x12 Engl with V30. The Framus 2x12 cab looks nice also and is cheaper (and V30) But I thinkt Engl is better build. The problem is that I can't try this cab's
