Question about Algol

What is that guitar effect used before and after the song? Over in the Black League forum they were talking about a Lanie amp from the 60's that makes that 'whirling' effect. Is it something like that?

On the beginning of the song is some clean effect, I suggest it's a unacoustic and with some chorus added. It's not Laney from '60, cause my Fender can do sounds like this too. The rest of the song is a distortion...

And don't forget to add reverb. But no too much.

We use electric guitar, but have nearly zero distortion. To that we´ve put a tremolo effect to get that great 60´s feeling, abit like Roy Orbison eerie stuff i think.
