The first pressing of Still Life was JUST the jewel case version WITHOUT the slipcase. The CD itself is gray with just the "O" from their logo on it. I know this because I have this version that I bought the day it came out. The second pressing a year or so later was the jewel case with the slipcase. The CD itself is a picture of the cover. The third pressing is the digipak which most of you proudly own because you weren't a fan of the band when the original version came out.

true

I apologize for asking, but i have seen this word thrown around for soo long and have never found out what is it. What the hell is a digi-pack? so that I can rest once and for all..

Where a slipcase is a cardboard sleeve that just slips over the jewel case, a Digi-Pak is a case that with the exception of the plastic CD tray itself, is made entirely out of cardboard, usually a trifold, and with the booklet in a little pocket on one of the panels.

meh. ive got one too. this rarety seems to be finding its way into the hands of quite a lot of people.

Yeah no shit. That's the only one I've ever seen for sale in the US. I had to import my European one when it was released for far more than the US issue. You can buy the reissue with the cardboard case here in the tiny place I live at like 3-4 different stores. Not that rare.

How so? i have this one and i bought it from a Wherehouse....this is rare? how do you figure? I thought i saw the same one at Hot Topic but it had the slipcover thing...So this digipak one had a slipcover also? O_o
Well i got the 2000 rerelease....

just to clear things up for those who don't know what a digi-pack is... it's those folded cardboard-cases.. both Deliverance and Damnation came in those (well, they came in jewel-case too... but the Ltd.eds (the more common cases, hehe) had digi-packs)... ok?

ok, the slip-case... time for me to take it back.. Thing is, I had to dig it up on a record expo that came to town, since I couldnt find it anyware. Maybe it's more common in the states or so, cause here in Sweden, you don't see it that often! My apologies...

I don't think that reissue is rare at all. Not that I've found the original release anywhere since the reissue was made. Still, I don't think it's anywhere near as rare as the original versions of the three first albums (damn those awful bonus tracks).
