Question about Swedish phone numbers

Hey all, I'm working on programming a phone number module at work, and I wanted to make it so it can handle numbers from all over the world. While I was researching how international phone numbers work, it usually consisted of a country code, area or city code, then 2 numbers representing the phone number. However, some of the Swedish numbers I came across had an extra number. Is there any significance to it, or it is just that they use 3 numbers instead of 2 to represent the phone number? Any information would be helpful.

Thanks all.
