Quick Axe-FX Clip

1st try at recording my Axe-FX, the intro is POD, then when the guitars kick in it's Axe. SLO, Recto and Diezel models in there. Sloppy playing and still dialing it in but I think it fits in the mix quite nicely, fun to play too.

I personally feel guitars could use a wee-bit more clarity and definition. I kinda find it hard to make out what they're playing, but that's just me

It really is in the hands/ears.

Maybe just a tad more clarity, I totally 'get' the tone you're going for....but just for the context of a proper mix/mastered product you might want a touch more sizzle/cut.

already prefer it to the divinity tone though, and that was the real thing :zombie: this has really nice 'spatial weight' to it if ya get what I mean- you can hear it really growling

Just out of curiosity.. why is everyone getting Axe-FX's now? I haven't ever heard of them before but I checked them out and they're like 2 years old? Why has it taken this long for us to catch on?

As for the mix, the guitars sound insane. Yeah they bury the drums completely and utterly but they sound so good I really don't care XD.

Thanks guys, yeah the guitars are turned up too loud for a 'proper' mix to hear the tone a bit more. I agree about the clarity for sure, although I think a lot of that was my sloppy attempt at quad tracking. Still tweakin too!

Nah but it was nothing too crazy, the FX where added after in Cubase.
